Discover the Art of Becky Noel

Welcome to my artistic journey! At the age of 44 I decided to start my art career. I have always loved art and deep inside I've always known I have a calling from God to create. However, life, family and the pursuit of other things always took precedence over that creative calling. I've always felt so much satisfaction and happiness when I make art, whether that be drawing, painting or just doodling. By the time I was thirty, I assumed my opportunity to fulfill my childhood dreams of being a "real artist" had passed and I set art aside to focus on being a mom and wife.

I will never forget the "lightbulb moment" when I realized that there is a reason I'm wired this way. It is because God gave me this love of art, and he created me to create! I did not "finally become an artist," in my forties, I've always been an artist. I just wasn't using the giftings he had given me or doing what he called me to do.

My desire is to inspire people to use the gifts and talents they have been given by God. I also want to encourage you that you aren't "too old" and it's never too late to follow your dreams.

I love nature especially animals and flowers, so that is what I have felt the most inspired to paint. The beauty of all of creation shows just how amazing and creative God is. Every creature, every flower, every plant, from the largest mountain to the smallest ant is so complex and made with such intricate detail and beauty. My art is inspired by my faith and the beauty of all that "The Greatest Artist Of All Time" has created.

I also have a love of abstract art. Honestly, I have the most fun painting when I can just splash paint, make random strokes and feel free to not worry about mistakes. I decided to combining these abstract elements with my animals and flowers, and that's when my style began to emerge. I also have an equal love for colored pencils and painting, that is why I do both. I feel like I would never be happy to choose one medium over the other. I would miss the other too much!
