How It Works...

1. Start by Sending Photos (Before You Place an Order)

Before you place an order, I ask that you email me several clear, well-lit photos of your pet. Most phone photos are perfectly fine. You don’t need anything professional. What matters most is that I can clearly see your pet’s facial features. Close-up shots that capture their eyes, expression, and fur detail will lead to a better painting. Once I confirm I can work from them and you approve the cropped sketch, I’ll invite you to place your order.

2. I Only Paint Headshots — Cropped for the Best Result

My pet portraits focus on your animal’s face and expression. Even if you send a full-body photo, I will create a cropped version focused on the head and shoulders and a pencil sketch on canvas . I’ll send this preview for your approval before you ever place an order, so there are no surprises.

3. Place Your Order and Pay Deposit

After you approve the sketch a 50% Non-Refundable Deposit is due when you place your order. The other half will be due when your painting is complete and ready to ship. This deposit will guarantee your spot on my waitlist and also protects me as the artist. At this time all pet portraits are booked through email correspondence. I will send you a terms and agreement form that must be signed and a secure payments can be made using PayPal or Venmo.

4. You Choose the Background Color and Style

You will have a choice between a solid background or one of my more abstract styles. You will also be given color choices (0ne color for solid background and two colors plus white for the abstract)

5. I Keep You in the Loop with Progress Photos

Most paintings are completed in about 1 to 4 weeks, depending on the season and my current waitlist. While I work on your portrait, you’ll receive photo updates so you can see it come to life step by step.

6. Hand-Painted with Professional Materials

Each piece is painted by hand using professional-grade acrylics on canvas. The sides are painted so it’s ready to hang without a frame. I only use archival-quality materials that are made to last.

7. Final Painting Approval

Before I ship your painting, I’ll send you final photos for approval. If for any reason you’re not completely happy, I’ll do my best to make necessary changes. Your satisfaction is important to me! At this time final payment will also be due.

8. Carefully Packaged and Shipped

Your portrait will be carefully packaged to prevent damage during transport. Shipping will be calculated at checkout. If you're outside the U.S., international shipping options are available. Your portrait will arrive safely packaged and ready to display!
